It's a No-Brainer to Renew Each Year
Amazon Prime is our jam. Meghan and I have had Amazon Prime so long that we can’t recall when we didn’t have it in our lives. We have many uses for this amazing service, so we will absolutely endorse it to friends around the world. So, let’s take a quick dive into our highlights from using Amazon Prime. Hopefully you will also realize the extreme value we take away from this service.
Amazon Prime Free Shipping
Free shipping – on everything that’s listed Prime! This is a huge bonus for a service that offers quite a bit. Amazon Prime has tons of products. There are electronics, games, beauty and health products, clothes, and even groceries. And that doesn’t even fully encompass the breadth of things you can buy. If it’s tagged “Prime,” then you will get free shipping.
Have you needed to buy something online, and it wasn’t too expensive, but the shipping was equal or greater than the product? Yes, this is a part of buying online in some cases. Well, being a member of Amazon Prime eliminates that, for the most part. There are products that are not listed as Prime, which means shipping charges can apply. For the most part, you’ll be able to find whatever you need and have it listed with free shipping. For us, that’s huge when we consider products that we always use (e.g. toilet paper, peanut butter, coffee).
Amazon Prime Video for Parents
The movies and TV options available with Amazon Prime is fairly substantial. There are many things we’ve watched through the years. Along with original content, there are movies, shows, and documentaries that come and go, keeping the platform fresh. A list of Amazon Originals includes, but not limited to, Homecoming, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fleabag, The ABC Murders, Good Omens, and much more. Currently, Prime includes films from the Star Trek universe, horror flicks like A Quiet Place and The Silence of the Lambs, and other hits like Annihilation and The Avengers.
Again, all movies and television shows listed as Prime are FREE. Meghan and I haven’t had cable in about seven or eight years – and Amazon Prime is the reason for that. Plus, there are also options for the kids.
Prime Options for Kids
Kids have plenty of ways to entertain themselves when it comes to small screen viewing. Amazon Originals include the likes of Shaun the Sheep, Dino Dana, and Kung Fu Panda. There are also plenty of kid-friendly classics right now, including The Goonies, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, and My Little Pony.
Do you know what our kids love? Music. And they love Kidz Bop. Amazon music lets Meghan and me put on the many albums in the Kidz Bop collection, and let the running and dancing around commence. Plus, the Frozen 2 soundtrack is currently available and it’s been played so many times already.
Prime Reading
If you are on a budget, the best resource for getting your reading fix is through your local library. That’s where I get most of my comics to read. However, my next go-to source is through Amazon Prime. I’ve read tons of digital comics through Prime Reading, including Thor Vol. 1: The Goddess of Thunder, Batman: Year One, Attack on Titan Vol. 1, American Vampire Vol. 1, and Batman Vol 1: The Court of Owls to name a few.
Plus, they have a ton of titles from authors like J. K. Rowling, Dean Koontz, and Rick Riordan. It’s such a convenient thing to know I can pick up my tablet before bed and get a little reading in. There are also plenty of magazines, nonfiction, and children’s stories available through Prime Reading.
Groceries We Use Regularly
Meghan and I have used Prime Pantry and Subscribe & Save. The latter is a recurring subscription of items you use regularly, such as coffee, toilet paper, and laundry detergent. With both of these options, members will save money when they add more items to their cart.
Either one of these options is a huge plus for saving money, especially since you can take advantage of buying items you always have.
Try Amazon Prime for Free
We’ve been using Amazon Prime for years, so we’ve grown accustomed to having it in our lives. So, take advantage of a 30-Day Free Trial! You will be able to take advantage of the perks, and then decide if you find it as valuable as we do.
"Chuck E. Cheese, Please"
Our kids would love to visit Chuck E. Cheese every single day, if it were possible.
We'll Return to Rehoboth Beach
We had the chance to spend a few days away at Rehoboth Beach. We want more time there and we want it now.
Loving My Chemical Peel Experience with Revive
Having a chemical peel was a completely new thing, but I thoroughly enjoyed my Revive experience.
