Chemical Peel Helping My Rosacea
You may have seen us posting about my sister-in-law’s new Beauty and Wellness Concierge business, Revive, recently. Well, over the weekend Meredith came to my house to provide some of her services, and it was amazing!
My mom came over and brought some yummy snacks. Meredith set up her treatment table and all of her supplies. Revive offers many services, including chemical peels and vitamin shots. Both of which I indulged in. We started off with a chemical peel. I have some rosacea on my cheeks and Meredith advised I go with the Vitalize peel. Now, I will be completely honest here. I was scared! I had no idea what to expect, but Meredith explained everything beforehand. Yes, it stings a bit, but she has this cool neck fan that you can aim directly at your face to help with the sting. It also doesn’t smell amazing, but I am already seeing a reduction in the redness on my cheeks, so I plan on booking another peel in about a month to see if we can reduce the redness even more.
After my chemical peel, Meredith offered us B12 shots. I declined that one but took her up on the offer of a Biotin shot. My hair has been thinning quite a bit lately, and Biotin is supposed to be good for that. Travis and my mom both got the B12 shots. Now, I am NOT a fan of shots, but Meredith is magical and I didn’t even feel the needle! If all shots felt like that I would have no problem at all getting a shot. Seriously, I don’t know how she does it.
Looking Forward to More Services from Revive
Now that we are a few days out from the treatments, I can update you on how my face is looking. All I have to do is look at the floor to see it! Just kidding-the peeling is in full force, but my skin underneath is smooth and less red. The peel is doing what it is supposed to do. I wouldn’t schedule a peel if you have someplace fancy to be in the few days following the peel, but if you have some time, definitely do it. The peeling is equivalent to a bad sun burn.
Bottom line, Revive offers some unique and valuable services. AND they offer them in the comfort of your own home! Meredith and her partner Christina are board certified nurse practitioners and they really know their stuff. We look forward to trying and highlighting more of their services in the future.
